Thuribles are for burning things.  A thurible can be used to burn incense, burn pieces of paper with mystical writings on them (petitions), and also to gaze into the flame as a form of scrying.

Please remember to always burn incense either outdoors or in a very well ventilated area.

My favorite way to use incense indoors is by using an incense warmer!
