This is a hybrid deck. For the most part it's steeped in traditions of the ancient tarot. But there are a few RWS symbols that creep in. For instance, the Magician is a fully equipped ceremonial magician, and not a street charlatan.
The minor arcana are non-illustrated pips, which for the general tarot public is a minus, but for me it's a major plus.
The artwork is simply gorgeous.
If tradition isn't super important to you and you want a lovely deck with gorgeous non-illustrated pips, you will LOVE this deck.
