Florida Water is a cologne used in South America by shamans for cleansing, healing, ritual feeding and flowering. Offered in large 270 ml bottles. Components of the scent include citrus and herbal notes along with spice and floral undertones. These delightful elements are provided by Bergamot, Neroli, Lemon, Cloves, Cinnamon, Lavender, Rose and Orange flower. When the fragrance is first applied the delicious citrus notes are most dominant, then the Cloves move to the front and the scent settles into an incredibly appealing dry spice.
I grew up with Florida Water, growing up in Southern California. It is a staple of almost all magical communities here, owing to the influence of hispanic magical practice here.
Whereas most EDCs are citrus based, Florida water is spice based. It is especially helpful for washing down surfaces that need to be consecrated, cleansed or blessed in some way.
I had always disliked the "after smell" of Florida Water when I had used large quantities of it for cleansing. Someone turned me on to the Peruvian version of Florida Water. Apparently they use a different base, because there is absolutely no chemical after-smell with the Peruvian Florida Water.
I love this stuff. I use it all the time.
